RahXephon, being the far better series, was poised to win the battle, but as I stood in the anime aisle at Best Buy this weekend, holding RahXephon Vol. 3 in one hand and Ai Yori Aoshi Vol. 3 in the other, I realized something: RahXephon is a 7 disc release, with an inconsistent episode count to boot. Ai Yori Aoshi, on the other hand, is a 5 disc release, with a set episode count of 5 per disc.
